Teaching Material 

Here you’ll find material for students, teachers, and researchers of early Black Boston. Our classroom material offers access to assignments, thematic concerns, glossaries, pacing guides, examples of student work, resources, and research guides. We also encourage you to contribute classroom materials. 

This is an eight-unit curriculum that provides entry into EBBDA exhibits and the Massachusetts state teaching standards.

This exhibit showcases a collection of poems written by Christopher Madson's English Language Arts 11 & Advanced Placement Language and Composition students, inspired by Phillis Wheatley Peters and drawn from their personal experiences of living in Boston.
