Advisory Board

In the Spring of 2025, the EBBDA formed an advisory board of scholars and community members. These members provide help and assistance by offering feedback about ways to enhance the site, potential topics for inclusion, links to potential stakeholders and partners, and possibilities in terms of potential funding sources

Dr. Kabria Baumgartner: Dean’s Associate Professor of History and Africana Studies at Northeastern University 

Dr. Patricia Davis: Associate Professor of Communications Studies, CAMD at Northeastern University 

Dr. Caleb Gayle: Associate Professor in the School of Journalism with a joint appointment in Africana Studies at Northeastern University 

Dr. Tieanna Graphenreed: Co-Director of the Boston Research Center (BRC)

Dr. Angela Hedley Mitchell: Chief of Teaching and Learning at Boston Public Schools 

Dr. Jessica Linker: Assistant Professor of History at Northeastern University 

Dr. Christopher Madson: English Teacher  at the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science

Dr. Jessica Parr: Professor of the Practice in History & Director of Public History at Northeastern University
