This unit provides an introduction to early Boston’s foundation with a particular focus on its Black community. This unit documents different aspects of Boston’s foundation and early history including Black spirituality, patriotism, roots of early activism, etc. This unit gives an interdisciplinary overview of Black history in Boston.
